Your face is the most important part of your body.
You can change your clothes, your hairstyle, color your hair, do your nails,
wear jewelry and some makeup, exercise your body and ride around in a fancy car but the first thing people will notice is your face.
I say ditch all that crap and work on fixing your plain face without makeup.
Clear, even-toned, plump and firm skin says it all.
Accurate information is the most important thing of all. Truth will set you free.
Misinformation, half-truths, lies, allegations, suppositions, assumations and erroneous beliefs lie at the root of our problems and misery.
Go where you are honored. You are not honored here.

Symptoms of Spinal Compression Fractures:

Symptoms of Spinal Compression Fractures:

 Symptoms of Spinal Compression Fractures:

It is important to identify the symptoms of spinal compression fractures and notify your doctor right away. Sudden, severe back pain, especially in older women, may signal a spinal compression fracture or another serious condition.
Anyone with significant back pain -- especially a woman who is near or over age 50 -- should see a doctor. Most compression fractures in women over 50 are due to osteoporosis and treatment can help reduce the chance of further compression fractures.
One or more symptoms can indicate a spinal fracture:
  • Sudden, severe back pain (though many times the symptoms can come on gradually and worsen over time)
  • Worsening of pain when standing or walking
  • Some pain relief when lying down
  • Difficulty and pain when bending or twisting
  • Loss of height
  • Deformity of the spine - the curved, "hunchback" shape
The pain typically occurs with a slight back strain during an everyday activity, like:
  • Lifting a bag of groceries
  • Bending to the floor to pick something up
  • Slipping on a rug or making a misstep
  • Lifting a suitcase out of the trunk of a car
  • Lifting the corner of a mattress when changing bed linens

Different Signs of Spinal Compression Fracture Pain

The pain experience of a spinal compression fracture can vary. For many people, the pain will subside while the bone is healing. That can take up to two or three months. Other people will continue feeling pain, even if the fracture has healed.
Not everyone feels a clear-cut spinal pain when a fracture occurs.
In some cases, there is virtually no pain involved with spinal compression fractures. The fractures may occur so gradually that the pain is relatively mild or unnoticeable. For some people, the pain may evolve into a chronic back ache in the injured area. For others, the gradual curving of the spine is the first indication that multiple fractures have occurred.

Signs of Multiple Spinal Compression Fractures

When multiple spinal compression fractures have occurred, there is considerable change in the spine. This can affect the internal organs and body functions:
  • Height loss: With each fracture of a spinal bone, the spine loses some of its height. Eventually, after several collapsed vertebrae, the person's shorter stature will be noticeable.
  • Kyphosis (curved back): These fractures often create wedge-shaped vertebral bones, which makes the spine bend forward. Eventually, neck and back pain may develop as your body tries to adapt.
  • Stomach complaints: A shorter spine can compress the stomach, causing a bulging stomach and digestive problems like constipation, less appetite, and weight loss.
  • Hip pain: The shorter spine brings the rib cage closer to the hip bones. If rib and hip bones are rubbing against each other, there will be discomfort and pain.
  • Breathing problems: If the spine becomes severely compressed, lungs may not function properly and breathing can be seriously affected.
The symptoms of spinal compression fractures are obviously different for every person.

Last year a woman who lives across the street from me said I was the woman with a broken back who walks around the neighborhood. She said I look leaned over and walk sideways. I guess it was supposed to be a joke. I guess I was supposed to laugh. It may be funny to look at the back view of myself when I walk, I really wouldn't know as I can't see myself while I am walking. I haven't been
able to go to a doctor since 2006, the last time I remember going was 2005, the year I was
denied disability for the second time from the social security administration court in
Kansas City, Kansas.
I do not know what pain free is. It hurts to sit, lay down, bend, twist, stoop, stand, lift  --any position hurts. In addition to the daily back and leg pains, in April, 2009 a sudden sharp pain began on my right side, inside my guts. It is ongoing everyday and gets worse right before eating and almost unbearable after I eat, the pain travels from the right side around to the left side of my back.  I have been told for years I am lazy, don't want to
work, don't want to and can't do anything, am good for nothing and worthless. Why don't I go get a job???

Tonight I finally searched the internet for "broken back"and found some
interesting information.

Broken Back:

Broken Back

Broken Back
A broken back can be a severe injury which should receive immediate expert medical attention.
The spine is comprised of 24 individual vertebral bones, as well as the sacrum and the coccyx. Any of these spinal bones can fracture, causing what is known as a broken spine or back.
Damage to the spinal bones does not signify definite injury to the spinal cord or nerves. Only a qualified doctor can properly diagnose spinal damage and possible injury to the neurological spinal tissues.
Minor hairline fractures or chips might not require anything more than simple medical monitoring to be sure they heal completely.
Moderate fractures may require symptomatic care, while significant and extreme fractures may even require surgical intervention to preserve the integrity of the vertebral column.

What is a Broken Back?

A broken spine is defined as one or more broken, fractured or misaligned vertebral bones. The condition has a wide range of health implications and possible symptoms.
An accurate diagnosis is very important for any patient with a suspected vertebral fracture. The patient should insist on an MRI or CT scan if there is any indication of potential neurological damage at the injured vertebral level.
Common indicators of nerve damage are weakness, tingling or numbness in the affected location.
Being that the vertebrae are complex in structure, fractures can occur in any of the joints, the vertebral body itself or the small fins on the dorsal surface, known as processes.

Causes of a Broken Back

Osteoporosis is a quiet condition which can cause vertebral fractures without the patient suffering any trauma. The actual weight of the body is sometimes all that is required to cause a broken spinal bone. A single vertebral stress fracture might go completely unnoticed by the patient and their doctor. Many of these minor cracks are normal parts of the aging process for some patients with low bone density and can be completely asymptomatic.
Fractures can also come from any significant trauma such a fall, car accident act of violence or sports injury. Once again, vertebral bones might be chipped or fractured in a minor and almost insignificant way. These types of injuries are usually not serious and will heal completely with minor medical supervision.
Serious breaks or multiple breaks can cause huge problems for the patient. Besides threatening the actual spinal cord or spinal nerves, extreme trauma often causes spinal instability. This condition almost always requires surgical intervention to stabilize the spine and insure no further damage to sensitive tissues.

Broken Back and Spinal Cord Injury

Even major trauma to the spine does not guarantee that the patient will suffer a spinal cord injury. Many patients break multiple vertebral bones and do not injure their spinal cord at all. It is possible to actually bruise or injure the spinal cord in a minor way. This type of damage might heal completely with time or might leave some permanent neurological effects.
It is possible to experience a complete spinal cord injury from any significant vertebral break. This condition is most often disastrous for a patient, since it results in paralysis below the injured spinal level. In rare circumstances, it is possible to damage or even sever the spinal cord without suffering any broken or fractured vertebral bones at all.
When injury occurs from a traumatic event, neurological effects may or may not present themselves immediately.

Broken Back Conclusion

A damaged spine should always be taken seriously. Even minor damage can cause complications which can threaten a patient’s future functionality. Minor spinal damage should heal well and leave the patient fully capable of living life to the fullest.
Make sure to learn how a proper rehabilitation program can help you to regain lost function from many spinal fractures. Spinal cord injuries are the worst type of damaged spinal structure. An injured cord can and will definitely change a patient’s life drastically.
Not all spinal cord damage is permanent and some function can be regained, even in cases of significant injury. To learn more about regeneration from cord injuries, I highly recommend seeking out a specialist in spinal neurology.

Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers,.... Doing nothing but when under the master's eye, and then pretending a great deal of diligence and industry, in order to ingratiate themselves into his affections, and neglecting his business when he is absent; whereas they ought to attend his service in his absence, as well as in his presence, and so seek to please him, which is commendable.

But as the servants of Christ; acting in like manner as the servants of Christ, who are not menpleasers; or as if they themselves were serving Christ, as indeed they are, when they are doing that which is the will of Christ:

doing the will of God from the heart; meaning not the will of God in a religious, but in a civil sense, yielding a cheerful and hearty obedience to their own masters.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

6. (Col 3:22). Seeking to please their masters only so long as these have their eyes on them: as Gehazi was a very different man in his master's presence from what he was in his absence (2Ki 5:1-18).

men-pleasers—not Christ-pleasers (compare Ga 1:10; 1Th 2:4).

doing the will of God—the unseen but ever present Master: the best guarantee for your serving faithfully your earthly master alike when present and when absent.

from the heart—literally, soul (Ps 111:1; Ro 13:5).

Parallel Commentaries
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

6:19-24 Worldly-mindedness is a common and fatal symptom of hypocrisy, for by no sin can Satan have a surer and faster hold of the soul, under the cloak of a profession of religion. Something the soul will have, which it looks upon as the best thing; in which it has pleasure and confidence above other things. Christ counsels to make our best things the joys and glories of the other world, those things not seen which are eternal, and to place our happiness in them. There are treasures in heaven. It is our wisdom to give all diligence to make our title to eternal life sure through Jesus Christ, and to look on all things here below, as not worthy to be compared with it, and to be content with nothing short of it. It is happiness above and beyond the changes and chances of time, an inheritance incorruptible. The worldly man is wrong in his first principle; therefore all his reasonings and actions therefrom must be wrong. It is equally to be applied to false religion; that which is deemed light is thick darkness. This is an awful, but a common case; we should therefore carefully examine our leading principles by the word of God, with earnest prayer for the teaching of his Spirit. A man may do some service to two masters, but he can devote himself to the service of no more than one. God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters oppose each other, no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it, must despise God; he who loves God, must give up the friendship of the world.

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 19-Matthew 7:12. -

(3) General principles regarding the relation of the disciples to wealth and to men. Verses 19-34. -

(1) The principle of regarding God alone in our religious actions is also to be maintained in the relation that we hold to wealth in the broadest sense. Vers. 19-21: seek true wealth, because earthly wealth, though gathered, may be rendered useless by earth's chances. Vers. 22, 23: further, because it is the single eye that receives the light. Ver. 24: in fact divided service is impossible. Vers. 25-34: place God first, and he will provide. Verses 19-21. - Ver. 19 comes here only, but vers. 20, 21 have much in common with Luke 12:33, 34. They are there in the middle of a long discourse (vers. 22-53), which immediately follows the parable of the rich fool, itself spoken on the occasion when a man wished his brother to divide the inheritance with him. There seems no reason to believe that that discourse is at all necessarily in historical position, and that our verses belong originally to it and to its occasion rather than to the present place in Matthew. Verse 19. - Lay not up... but lay up (ver. 20). Lay up treasure indeed, but in the right place (cf. a still more striking case in John 6:27); observe that in both cases it is "for yourselves." Lightfoot ('Hor. Hebr.,' on ver. 1) quotes an interesting Haggada from Talm. Jeremiah,' Peah,' 15b (equivalent to Talm. Bob., 'Baba Bathra,' 11a), in which "Monobazes, the king," when blamed for giving so much to the poor, defends himself at length: "My fathers laid up their wealth on earth; I lay up mine in heaven," etc. But our Lord here does not mean to limit his reference to almsgiving. He thinks of all that has been mentioned since Matthew 5:3 (cf. Weiss) as affording means of heavenly wealth. Upon earth; upon the earth (Revised Version). Our Lord here wishes to emphasize the locality as such (ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς): in ver. 20 rather the nature and quality of the locality (ἐν οὐρανῷ). Where moth (cf. James 5:2, 3; Isaiah 51:8, especially LXX.). Either directly or by its larvae, whether the treasure be clothes or food. Or rust. Any power that eats, or corrodes, or wastes (βρῶσις). Doth corrupt; Revised Version, doth consume. "Corrupt" "has now a moral significance, which does not in any degree appertain to the Greek" (Humphry). Ἀφανίζει (ver. 16, note) is here used of the complete change in the appearance or even of the complete destruction caused by these slow but sure enemies of earthly wealth. And where thieves. Before, physical or non-responsible agents; here, human beings. Break through (διορούσουσιν); "dig through" (cf. Matthew 24:43; Luke 12:39; cf. Job 24:16, LXX.). Where the houses are so frequently made of mud or sun-burnt bricks, this would be comparatively easy.

Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth,.... Meaning either treasures that are of an earthly nature and kind, the more valuable and excellent things of the earth, worldly wealth and riches; or the things and places, in which these are laid up, as bags, chests, or coffers, barns and other treasuries, private or public. Christ here dissuades from covetousness, and worldly mindedness; an anxious care and concern, to hoard up plenty of worldly things for themselves, for time to come, making no use of them at present for the good of others: and this he does, from the nature of the things themselves; the places where they are laid up; the difficulty of keeping them; and their liableness to be corrupted or lost.

Where moth and rust doth corrupt, and thieves break through and steal. Garments, formerly, were a considerable part of the treasures of great men, as well as gold and silver; see Job 27:16. So according to the (m) Targumist, Haman is bid to go , "to the king's treasury", and take from thence one of the purple garments, the best, and raiment of the best silk, &c. and these were liable to be eaten with the moth, James 5:2. The word translated rust, does not here signify the rust of metals, as gold and silver; by which there is not so much damage done, so as to destroy them, and make them useless; but whatever corrupts and consumes things eatable, as blasting and mildew in corn, or any sort of vermin in granaries: for gold and silver, or money, with jewels and precious stones, which make a very great part of worldly treasure, seem to be more particularly designed, by what thieves break through into houses for, and carry away. So that here are three sorts of earthly treasures pointed at, which are liable to be corrupted, or taken away: garments, which may be destroyed, and rendered useless for wearing; provisions of things eatable, as all sorts of corn and grain, which may be so corrupted by smut and vermin, as not to be fit for use; and money and jewels, which may be stolen by thieves: so that no sort of worldly riches and treasure is safe, and to be depended on; and therefore it is a great folly and vanity to lay it up, and trust in it.

(m) Targum Sheni. in Esth. vi. 10.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

Mt 6:19-34. Concluding Illustrations of the Righteousness of the Kingdom—Heavenly-Mindedness and Filial Confidence.

19. Lay not up for ourselves treasures upon earth—hoard not.

where moth—a "clothes-moth." Eastern treasures, consisting partly in costly dresses stored up (Job 27:16), were liable to be consumed by moths (Job 13:28; Isa 50:9; 51:8). In Jas 5:2 there is an evident reference to our Lord's words here.

and rust—any "eating into" or "consuming"; here, probably, "wear and tear."

doth corrupt—cause to disappear. By this reference to moth and rust our Lord would teach how perishable are such earthly treasures.

and where thieves break through and steal—Treasures these, how precarious!
