buy whole foods, fresh vegetables, meat and fruit
this means exclude processed and already prepared foods and drinks
picnic and barbecue at home or at a local park
make your own drinks: brew your own coffee and tea instead of buying bottled drinks
filter your water instead of buying bottled water
buy individual spices without added salt
learn to use spices and combinations of spices when cooking
clean up your home
use minimal basic cleaners like vinegar, baking soda, salt, lemon, plain soap and
water, natural oils
instead of buying toxic expensive separate cleaners for everything and
every room such as bathroom cleaner,shower cleaners, window or glass cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, wood, chrome, metal, etc., etc,. etcetera cleaners
dishwasher powders,crystals or liquid gels
cut/clip coupons
color your own hair or
don't buy any hair coloring at all
wash your own car
wash, dry and fold your clothes
don't buy any clothing that needs to be dry cleaned or specially processed,
handled or stored
use minimal makeup or none at all
forget about brand loyalty
use what works, what is on sale, what is cheapest and stock up
walk around the block, run around the neighborhood, walk to work if possible
