Wish I would have known when younger a child

 1000s of things

addictions are easy to form

personalities are unique to individual and are born that way, unchanging thru life

being healthy, strong, good looking, youthful is essential for survival and procreation; survival of the species

a pig person wallows in chaos and confusion and likes it that way

people have similar or same instincts traits characteristics as many other animals and/or plants or life forms as tiny as an atom

anything witnessed by another is emulated, imitated, judged

your existence, presence, words spoken, actions, creations and destructions are noticed. you are not invisible

people and all life forms come up with creative ways to survive and get what they want

my old age  has irregular sleep, eating, weight loss. spurts of energy, many epiphanies

pets are like babies and children. men are often like pets.

a limited vocabulary often coincides with maturity

fools like to invent arguments with no solutions to pass the time

many mechanics few engineers architects

the baby child is tied closely to mom for many years. totally reliant on and scared and anxious when she leaves the room. as child ages it pulls away from mom during the many years from teen to adult.   until the end of life when moms memories dominate the mind once more.

Many things i wish i had learned as a child

many things i wish i had learned as a child

12-30-18  December 30, 2018

health: food diet nutrition
  how to cook

wealth: money management and attaining money and property

wisdom

happiness
stress management and elimination of unnecessary stress
appreciation what is and what has been and what will be

socializing
how to know and understand myself,
relate to different kinds of people
 friends
family
neighbors
co-workers
bosses
employees at businesses I do business with
strangers I meet when I am out walking, shopping
psychology
how to read people,  accept myself as i am and
others as they are
practice self control instead of thinking i can control everyone and everything around me

freedom

drives of life... what motivates people
the reasons why we think, feel and do what we do
purpose: procreation, replication, sex, self expression, control
recognition, appreciation

necessities :
air first
water second
food third
shelter housing
 clothing
transportation

I repeat this to myself daily:
I am healthy, wealthy, wise, happy, free and have lots of friends and family.

I grew up in a well meaning family who did the best they could with what
they had.
However I didn't know anyone who wondered why they thought and
did what they did or how they arrived at where they were.

Dysfunction at its best. Nobody explained to me what was going on.
Nobody knew what was really happening or why
and they didn't want to know why.

I questioned the behavior of myself, my family and other people I knew.
I asked many people why, why, why.?
Often I was told to shut up, not question anyone and not to
disagree with anyone.
Agreeing with everyone is impossible. I resolved to agree to disagree and
not force my opinions upon others but let them know what I think and
they are free to think any way they want to think. That is okay with me.
I have been told I think too much, am crazy, don't understand
I have been humiliated, criticized, laughed at, minimized, shut out,
ridiculed

Wisdom sometimes, but not always, comes with age

Wisdom sometimes, but not always, comes with age. I

know people in their early 20s who have the wisdom it

took me all of my life to learn. I know people 20, 30, 40

or 50 years younger than me who are wise beyond

their years.

I remember many things I have experienced in the past

that went wrong due to my sheer lack of wisdom.

I was book smart, intelligent, could memorize things,

knew lots of details but did not know why things are

the way they are.

Lacking the wisdom of animal nature and instincts

caused me much distress, unhappiness, sadness and misery.

School and formal education taught me nothing about wisdom.

Once upon a time I had a sweet girlfriend named Beth.

Once upon a time I had a sweet girlfriend named Beth.

She talked to me for hours and hours on the phone and in person, as girls do.
She told me the truth and showed me what life was about.

Beth is a loving, affectionate, passionate girl
who loves people and loves her family and friends.
She has a big, BIG heart.

She loves, adores and respects her husband
and does the best she can to teach her children
and let them know she loves them with all of her heart.

She likes to share her true thoughts and feelings
and is right about that.

Beth is full of wisdom. The goddess in her sees
through all and knows the right thing to do at any time.
She is a woman,  full and true.

Decide what you want. Do not concern yourself with how you will get it, how will you do it or how it will happen

Decide what you want. Do not concern yourself with how you will
get it, how will you do it or how it will happen.

Deciding is like tuning your radio station
to what you will notice, what you hear, what you pay attention to.

Once you make a decision,
follow your intuition.
It will guide you towards your desires.

Thoughts that feel good pop up, even though
they might not make any logical sense at the moment
are telling you what to do and where to go to experience
your desires, feed your knowledge, enjoy life and gain wisdom.

Grandma's words.

Grandma's words.

A man only wants one thing.
Don't become hard, hardened, tough acting or hard hearted.
Stay sweet and innocent.
Be yourself.

Don't tell him everything.
Keep yourself looking good.
Take care of yourself.
I am your best friend. One day you will realize that.

You can be anything you want.
You can have any man you want.
Just ignore them and take care of your business.
Don't ever let anyone put you down.

A good fight clears the air.
Jealousy is dominant in most people.
They're just jealous. That is why they are nasty to you.

Women don't want an attractive woman around their man
and attractive beautiful pretty women have very few girlfriends
and (because) all the guys are chasing them (the pretty ones)
and want a pretty woman.

dont tell him everything
dont let him see everything
dont tell him your secrets
keep a mystery about you

be quiet
don't talk about your past
don't talk about other men in your past or present
fight fire with fire

tell it like it is
don't sell yourself short
birds of a feather flock together
be careful and choosy/picky about who your friends are

She was born December 22, 1916 and raised me for ten years
from the time I was 6 until I was 16.
Wisdom from the Capricorn lady.
108 pounds at 92 years old when she died.
Used to be five foot five inches tall but shrunk due to age.
She was delicate and frail as she aged but had the strength
of 100 mules in her determination.

Always clean, neat, organized, dressed for success.
Drove the best of vehicles.
Ate the best food (she thought was the best at the time)
Moved into a brand new house in 1971 in Belton, Missouri
(the house lived in with my grandparents for 10 years).

She was very sensitive, emotional, devoted to family.
Full of good advice.
She was strong willed and kind hearted however had
narcissistic tendencies in her desire to control others due
to her love for them. She wanted to best for herself and everyone
and didn't quite realize that a person needs to figure things out
for themselves.

In her youth she talked about being happy, carefree, fun loving
and loved to dance.  Her marriage of 57 years to my step grandpa
caused her to become not so happy by being hyper critical,
judgmental, intolerant of differences in others, cynical and
mean and hateful at times.

Grandpa was attracted to her beauty
and fine spirit in her youth and due to his upbringing and
beliefs he was prejudiced, opinionated, sarcastic and pushy.

He was a very hard worker; stable, steady, an excellent provider
of material things. He was very physical but not spiritual.

He loved my grandma with all of his heart and she told me
he loved me with all of his heart as well.

I  believe if he would have taken the time to take her out
and have a good time periodically (take her dancing, for
example, one of her favorite things to do for fun)
that she would have been an extremely happy woman.

He would have been a real man who worked, not only at
his jobs, but spent fun time with his beautiful wife to
show her that he loved her... but he didn't take her out to
have fun.  It was all about work, work, work.  He was scared
another man would snatch her up if he did that.

He didn't want to lose her.

I was a child and didn't understand why they were like they were,
why they treated me the way they did.
Now I understand the protective nature they had over me.

They both wanted the best for me and all of the family members
but didn't know how to express things in a nice and sweet way.
They didn't know how to teach me with kindness.
They used cliches and phrases out of the bible without
explaining what they meant. I was so naive, shy
and quiet.  I didn't have a clue what they were talking about.

They were so old and knew things I didn't know so they were pushy,
yelling, screaming, often cussing at the world, at me and didn't
know how to allow me to find out things for myself.
They acted like I should know all of the stuff they knew when
I was just a child.

People, especially children, know what they want. They don't need to be pushed. Parents who push their dreams and expectations upon their kids make a huge mistake. Force causes resistance. Allowing, guiding and encouraging causes peace and liberation.
